What are liposomes?
Liposomes are very small spherical structures that are made up of phospholipids, the same type of fat found in our cell membranes. In liposomal supplements, liposomes are used to carry active ingredients (vitamins, minerals, bioactive compounds and drugs) within their folds.
Liposomes have a unique structure that allows them to bypass the digestion process. This helps them to safely pass through the intestinal walls, protecting the nutrients and active ingredients from getting destroyed by gastric juices, bile and digestive enzymes in the GI tract. Liposomes also shields the nutrients from the free radicals and oxidative damage.
This process keeps the nutrients intact when they enter the bloodstream, from where they are delivered directly to the cells. This is how liposomal technology improves the bioavailability of nutrients and active ingredients, which means maximum absorption and optimum health benefits.
What is bioavailability?
Bio-availability is the amount of nutrient or a substance that enters the bloodstream after it is processed and absorbed by the body. It is the amount that is completely available for the cells and tissues to use.
What is lecithin?
Lecithin is a fatty substance that is naturally present in our cells. In supplements, lecithin is usually derived from soybeans or sunflower seeds. We use soy derived lecithin on our Bonne Sante Liposome products and Sunflower lecithin in our SANUSq brand liposomal products.
What are phospholipids and what happens to them after they are done delivering the nutrients into the bloodstream?
In liposomal supplements, a nutrient or an active ingredient is encapsulated within the liposomes. These small bubbles are made up of phospholipids, a type of fat derived either from soy or sunflower lecithin.
The chemical structure of these phospholipids is similar to the phospholipids that make up our cell membranes. This property makes liposomes highly biocompatible with the cells in our body. Liposomes are also highly biodegradable, which means these are rapidly decomposed and cleared from the body without any adverse effects.
Do your supplements contain GMO?
No. Our supplements do not contain GMO materials.
Are your products chemical free?
Our herbal products do not contain additives or fillers of any description, are organically grown and are 100% pure herbs. We do add very small quantities of preservatives to our liposomal products for stability. These amounts are well under the limitations set by EU and UK health authorities.
Do liposomal products interfere with other medications and supplements?
True liposomal products tend to increase the bioavailability of the nutrient contained in the liposome, making it more accessible to your cells. If you are already taking a medication or another supplement, please consult your healthcare professional before you start taking our liposomal products, as certain supplements can interfere with how your body absorbs, uses and metabolizes a medication.
Are there any side effects or health risks associated with phospholipids made from either soy or sunflower?
Phospholipids made from either soy or sunflower are safe for most people to consume. People who are allergic to eggs or soy should check the label carefully to identify the source of the lecithin in their liposomal products.
I have pre-existing medical conditions. Can I take these products?
It is always best to consult your healthcare professional before you start taking supplement products, especially if you have a pre-existing medical condition.
Are these liposomal products safe for teenagers and children?
It is always best to consult your healthcare professional before giving supplements to anyone under 18 years of age.
Are these supplements safe for pregnant and/or breastfeeding women?
We strongly recommend that pregnant and/or breastfeeding women should consult their healthcare professional before starting on any new supplement regimen.
Is it best to take liposomal supplements on an empty stomach?
While you can take liposomal supplements with or without food, we recommend taking these supplements on an empty stomach to achieve maximum absorption and bioavailability. One of the benefits of taking liposomal supplements is reduced gastrointestinal irritation, typically experienced when you take large doses of regular supplements. It is, therefore, a good option for people who usually experience gut irritation with supplements. But if your stomach is generally sensitive and you experience gastrointestinal upset after taking your liposomal supplements on an empty stomach, it is better to take them with a meal.
Tell me about Potassium Sorbate used in your SANUSq brand liposomal products
We use Potassium Sorbate as the stabilising agent in our SANUSq brand liposomal products. There is less than 0.1% volume in each product. That level, for example, equates to less than 1mg per serving (0.001 ml) for our Liposomal Vitamin D3/K2 product and less than 5mg per serving (0.005 ml) for our Liposomal Vitamin C with Glutathione.
Tell me about ethanol used in your Bonne Sante Liposome products
We use ethanol as the stabilising agent in our Bonne Sante Liposome brand liposomal products. The volume differs for each product and is within EU regulations.
Tell me about Gelatine and Vegetable capsules used in your herbal products
We use vegetable capsules for all but our Sacha Inchi Oil capsule product. It is not possible to maintain a reasonable shelf life if using vegetable capsules with Sacha Inchi Oil as the oil will degrade the vegetable capsule within a short time frame.

Where is your fulfillment centre? I am not in the UK, will I have to pay additional duties and taxes when I receive my order?
Our UK fulfillment centre is in Kent. We also have a fulfillment service in The Netherlands, so if you are looking to receive a delivery in the EU we suggest you visit our sanusq.com website to place your order. Deliveries to countries outside the UK are considered international shipping, and it is likely there may be additional duties or taxes to pay. These vary from country to country. It is the customer’s responsibility to know the laws and restrictions in their country and take full responsibility for dealing with customs should any issues arise. We cannot call Customs departments on your behalf.
How long does it take to process my order?
Orders are automatically processed every 15 minutes. We will send confirmation emails to you during the ordering and shipping phases.
We will send a notification email when your order has been submitted and payment confirmed. We endeavour to ship all orders that are received by 11:00am (GMT+7) Monday to Friday, within 24 hours. Shipping days refer to workdays and not calendar days.

Do you offer FREE shipping or have discount coupons available?
We subsidise delivery costs on all orders, and we also offer 100% FREE shipping based upon the total value of products in the shopping cart after discounts have been applied. If an order qualifies for free shipping, that option will be shown at checkout. The greater the value and weight of your order, the greater the benefit to you in terms of reduced shipping costs per item in your order.
We do not charge you for the pick and pack, or for order processing fees which are charged to us by our fulfilment services.
From time to time, we will have other special offers, discount coupons and gift vouchers available. If you are on our mailing list you will receive notification of these, and you will be able to benefit.
Where can I find your Terms and Conditions, and general policies?

Do you offer telephone support?

Tell me about Vitamin C and Reishi. Why do you recommend taking these at the same time?
We strongly recommend that you take Reishi mushroom with Vitamin C together, as the Vitamin C enhances the absorption of polysaccharides, which is one of the main bioactive compounds that make Reishi mushroom so healthy.
It has been reported that Ganoderma Lucidum, in large doses of 5-10 g daily (we recommend just 1.5 g per day), may cause loose stools; it has similarly been reported that super loading Vitamin C in the range of 6 – 12 g (we recommend 1 – 2 g per day for general well-being) can alleviate these loose stools.

How long does it take for my order to be delivered?
Delivery times are suggested by the postal and courier companies, and we are not able to control the machinations of the postal system in the destination country for each order we receive – our role is purely to offer you high quality products – but we do our best to ensure delivery is fast and efficient.
